What we build

Imperial Blue Developments has a simple business model for developments. We build high quality and good value homes specifically designed for first time buyers and buy-to-let investors. Locations are targeted which have good local amenities on the doorstep and which are close to quick and reliable transport links into Central London​, with journey times under 45 minutes.​​

Projects we manage for our clients are wider ranging in scope and we have experience with working on a range of classes, scales and locations from super-prime London properties to student accommodation.

What we look for

We target locations within a 45 minute train journey into central London, in areas which show strong growth promise and consumer affordability. We aim to reduce risk at each stage of the development meaning that we buy sites with planning permission in place, bringing units to market quickly and efficiently with our joint venture construction partners.

Lurke Street, Bedford

Lurke Street is a 37 unit scheme in the heart of Bedford. Located just off the High Street and just a 10 minute walk to the station that offers regular trains into London taking just 35 minutes, this development offers fantastic value for both first time buyers and investors alike.
Currently in it's construction phase, this development is due for completion in June 2018.

St Cuthbert's, Bedford

St Cuthberts Street is an affordable housing development of 12no. 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. Situated in the centre of Bedford these new affordable units will help improve the affordable rental options in the heart of the town.
Currently in it's construction phase, this development is due for completion in May 2018.

Adams Row, Mayfair

Imperial Blue secured planning for a comprehensive conversion of this mews house from two flats into a high spec single home with a basement extension, roof terrace, two garages and four bedrooms. Arranged over 4 floors, this 4000sqft home will be a rare freehold mews house in the heart of Mayfair worth in excess of £10m when completed.

Gloucester Terrace, Bayswater

The probate purchase of this large and rare lateral apartment in the heart of Bayswater required a complete refurbishment and reconfiguration. Listed building and freeholder consent was achieved to create a generous and stylish three bedroom apartment with open plan living. All the design and development work was done in house by Imperial Blue, working with the client's chosen contractor.

The Hippodrome, Derby

The former Hippodrome in Derby stands derelict and abandoned as a result of commercial failure, vandalism and several devastating fires. Imperial Blue are advising on the redevelopment of the Hippodrome site with regards to project viability, end use options, design and planning. This is a substantial city centre site in the heart of Derby and despite the current condition of the existing building, it remains grade II listed and sits within a conservation area making this an extremely complex site and project. We are currently in negotiations with Derby City Council to find a way to breath new life into this corner site.

Woodland Gardens, Muswell Hill

We were appointed to help the owners of this family home extend and alter the rear of the house to better suit their needs. As with our other development management projects we advise on the design and construction of the project, pulling together the necessary consultants to discharge statutory and party wall matters, put together a comprehensive set of documents for tender and to monitor the works of the chosen contractor.
